BRECKENRIDGE – Film Festival
September 21 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The Breck Film Fest guides a year-round comprehensive celebration of independent film for the community, visitors and filmmakers by presenting diverse film experiences in an authentic mountain environment. Taking place in the spectacular setting of historic Breckenridge, located at 9,600 feet above sea level, the festival celebrates fall color in an easy-to-access location just 80 miles west of Denver via interstate 70. The festival screens more than 60 films in four days, welcomes more than 30 filmmakers to engage with audiences, and has recently been ranked a USA Today Top 20 Film Festival as well as a Top 100 Film Festival on the FilmFreeway submissions platform.
The town was established in 1859 and retains much of the look and historic charm of its prior heyday as a late 1800’s mining town. Today, Breckenridge is an internationally known ski resort providing summer and fall visitors a myriad of recreational opportunities from biking, hiking, sailing and rafting, to fishing, golf, tennis and horseback riding. Breckenridge is home to two ice rinks, a full recreation center, and a Jack Nicklaus designed public golf course. The town offers historical tours, art galleries, many shops and fine dining.
