CRESTONE – CrestFest
August 11 - August 14
The Crestone Music Festival, also known as “CrestFest” is now in it’s 19th year of creating a family fun, affordable music festival. It is put together by the non-profit organization Crestone Performances, Inc. CrestFest’s mission is to create a positive cultural, educational, and economic impact in the San Luis Valley by providing affordable access to the highest quality performances and presentations representing diverse cultures and traditions.
CrestFest engages and brings together community through music, the arts, and fun activities including group yoga classes, drum circles, kids’ activities and an array of contests. Located just a few miles outside of Crestone, CO (a hub for spiritual centers and retreats in North America) the festival takes place on the Challenger Golf Course with 14,000 ft. mountains overlooking the festival. The festival has been home to some amazing music including: Leon Russell, Tab Benoit, Booker T., Edgar Winter, Tower of Power, John Lee Hooker, Jr, and so much more! The Crestone Music Festival also highlights local talents as well as regional acts from all over Colorado. All music and acts throughout the festival are multi-cultural and multi-genre, bringing in new and traditional music from all over the world.
When coming into the festival: There are three tents for patrons to set up chairs or blankets under, and the festival is open seating. Feel free to bring your camping chairs, umbrellas, and coolers into the festival, however, no alcohol can be brought in (coolers and backpacks will be checked).
