Head to the beautiful San Juan Mountains in Southeastern Colorado this Saturday and Sunday for Pagosa Springs’ Winterfest Weekend.

From Saturday, February 3rd through Sunday, February 4th, Pagosa Springs’ Chamber of Commerce hosts fun events for the whole family.

Kick off the weekend Saturday morning at the hot air balloon mass ascension in downtown, where dozens of colorful balloons fill the sky. Once the balloons are afloat, head to Town Park for the always creative Barkus Parade.

Other Saturday events include a youth fat bike fun race, with racing distances from 1k to 12k, the 7th Annual Penguin Plunge, and the Anything Goes Downhill Sled Race, where every entry is homemade.

Wait… there’s more!

Also on Saturday is a BB Gun Biathlon at the Pagosa Nordic Club, bike demos in Yamaguchi Park, a crepe and coffee brunch, and a free skate night at the Pagosa Multipurpose Pavilion.

If you missed the balloon ascension on Saturday, have no fear. Balloons launch again on Sunday morning. Once again, balloons fill the winter sky, this time over the Pagosa Lakes area. Grab a cup of coffee or cocoa and come enjoy the spectacular view!

After Sunday’s balloon ascension, Pagosa Springs gets ready for the Super Bowl at the Winterfest Super Bowl Blowout at Pagosa Brewing.

Come play a lively corn hole tournament and celebrate Super Bowl Sunday with a special Winterfest drink and appetizer. Seven TVs will keep you and your friends cheering your favorite team throughout the afternoon.
