Wintersköl, Aspen’s annual toast to winter, celebrates its 67th year January 10th through the 13th. These four days of festivities date back to 1951 when Aspenites decided to celebrate their town’s unique Nordic lifestyle. Today, Wintersköl features everything from a canine fashion show and fireworks to a snow sculpture competition and musical performances.

The performance, featuring actors and actresses and song and dance, resurrects the party-loving atmosphere of Aspen State Teachers College, arguably one of the more entertaining aspects of area history!
