You might have read our list of favorite pumpkin patches, but what about the rest of Colorado’s delectable fruits and veggies ready for picking each fall? Lucky for us, there are many farms throughout the state that invite you to come and pick everything from apples to squash. So here, without further ado, is our list of Colorado’s u-pick farms open each harvest season.

Pick your own apples, pears, cherries, pumpkins, veggies, and flowers. Apples are ripe late July through mid-October. Pears are ripe September and October. Please note, reservations are required.

Miller Farm’s Fall Harvest Festival celebrates the season with a one-of-a-kind experience. The Fall Festival gives everyone the opportunity to not only explore the farm but to also harvest their own vegetables. During the fall harvest, everyone takes a tractor ride to the farm’s fields with stops along the way to pick their own vegetables. Miller Farm’s Fall Festival runs through mid-November.

The Bartles Farm grows corn, hay, wheat, and barley but is known for its beautiful pumpkin patch and vegetable garden. Pick sweet corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, spinach, beets, eggplant and more. You may pick straight from the garden by making an appointment with Nancy. Open mid-June through November.

Pick from more than 150 varieties of apples, as well as pears and plums. Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday through early November.

Anything that grows on the property of Fruit Basket Orchards is fair game for you to pick and eat. Here, you’ll find grapes until late September and apples until late November.

Pick what you want from this orchard filled with so many varieties of fruit and veggies it will make your head spin. What’s available is, of course, dependent on the time of year. However, there are lots of options all the way through the end of October. Want a more immersive experience? Delicious Orchards is open to camping.

Peak apple-picking season is near the end of September, so now’s the perfect time to begin planning your trip to Jenkins Farms. They’re open Fridays through Mondays until the apples run out, which tends to happen around the middle of October.
